Entitlements for Family on Death of NPS-Covered Government Servant

• This order outlines the entitlements for a family upon the death of a government servant covered by the National Pension System (NPS):

• CCS (NPS) Rules 2021 (Rule 20): If the deceased official opted for benefits under Rule 10 or the default option applies, the family will receive benefits under the CCS Pension Rules.

• Death Attributable to Service: If the death is due to government service, the CCS (Extraordinary Pension) Rules will apply. In such cases, the government's NPS contribution and returns will be transferred to government accounts. The remaining accumulated pension corpus will be paid in a lump sum to the nominee. If there is no nominee, the amount will be paid to legal heirs.

• Option under Rule 10: If the option under Rule 10 is chosen for NPS benefits, they will be as per the NPS Regulations 2015.

• Gratuity: Employees covered under NPS are also eligible for gratuity, with a maximum of Rs. 20 lakhs.

NPS-ல் உள்ளடக்கப்பட்ட அரசு ஊழியர் இறந்தால் குடும்பத்திற்கான உரிமைகள் 

• தேசிய ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தில் (NPS) உள்ளடக்கப்பட்ட அரசு ஊழியர் இறந்தால் குடும்பத்திற்கான உரிமைகளை இந்த உத்தரவு விளக்குகிறது:

• CCS (NPS) விதிகள் 2021 (விதி 20): இறந்த அதிகாரி விதி 10 இன் கீழ் பலன்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்திருந்தால் அல்லது இயல்புநிலை விருப்பம் பொருந்தினால், குடும்பம் CCS ஓய்வூதிய விதிகளின் கீழ் பலன்களைப் பெறும்.

• பணிக்கு காரணமான இறப்பு: இறப்பு அரசு பணியின் காரணமாக இருந்தால், CCS (அசாதாரண ஓய்வூதியம்) விதிகள் பொருந்தும். அத்தகைய சந்தர்ப்பங்களில், அரசாங்கத்தின் NPS பங்களிப்பு மற்றும் வருமானம் அரசாங்க கணக்குகளுக்கு மாற்றப்படும். மீதமுள்ள திரட்டப்பட்ட ஓய்வூதிய கார்பஸ் நாமினிக்கு மொத்தமாக வழங்கப்படும். நாமினி இல்லை என்றால், தொகை சட்டப்பூர்வ வாரிசுகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும்.

• விதி 10 இன் கீழ் விருப்பம்: NPS பலன்களுக்கு விதி 10 இன் கீழ் விருப்பம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டால், அவை NPS விதிமுறைகள் 2015 இன் படி இருக்கும்.

• பணிக்கொடை: NPS இன் கீழ் உள்ள ஊழியர்களும் பணிக்கொடைக்குத் தகுதியுடையவர்கள், அதிகபட்சம் ரூ. 20 லட்சம்.
