Which specific categories of Benchmark Disabilities have been identified as suitable for the post of Inspector Posts, and what is the ruling regarding their eligibility and reservation in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE)?

The post of Inspector Posts has been identified as suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD) falling under the following categories:

Low Vision (LV)

Hard of Hearing (HH)

Locomotor disabilities: One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), One Arm and One Leg (OAOL), Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, and Acid Attack Victims

Multiple disabilities from amongst the specific conditions mentioned above

PwD candidates possessing these identified disabilities are permitted to appear in the LDCE for promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts. Prior to this identification, they were not permitted to appear in the exam.

Although eligible to sit for the examination, at present, reservation benefits are not available to PwD candidates for promotion to higher-level posts.
