One Day, One Minute, One Rule --– 41
41. What was the directive regarding the appointing authority for the Lower Selection Grade (LSG) cadre, as stated in the Department of Posts letter from June 9, 1987?
According to the Department of Posts letter No. 6-12/87-SPB.II dated June 9, 1987, the concerned Divisional Superintendents (DPS) and Railway Divisional Superintendents (RDPS) were to continue acting as the appointing authority for the Lower Selection Grade (LSG) cadre. This arrangement was to remain in effect until the relevant entries in the Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, were modified. The letter references a previous letter, No. 6-19/82-SPB.II dated December 13, 1985, which had also discussed this subject.
(DG (P) No. 6-12/87-SPB.II dated June 9, 1987)
All these instructions became infructuous due to reversion of LSG as circle cadre again
