18. According to the order No. W-04/2/2020-SPN-I-Part(1) dated October 2020, what is the new procedure for the appointment of direct recruits and promotee officials?
The new procedure is designed to speed up and streamline the appointment process. It has been decided that candidates who qualify for posts such as Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Inspector Posts, Postman, Mail Guard, and Multi Tasking Staff will now be appointed directly after completing their pre-appointment formalities. They will not have to wait for the completion of the prescribed institutional induction training. This applies to candidates selected through both direct recruitment (recommended by the Staff Selection Commission) and departmental examinations.
