256. Daily Rules Recap - GDS transfer processing under on line
• Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) were allowed to submit their transfer requests from December 5, 2022, vide Directorate letter dated November 28, 2022.
• Vacancies arising up to November 30, 2022, will be taken into consideration for transfer.
• The date of engagement shall determine the order of priority, with Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) being given preference.
• In case of a tie, the date of birth will be considered.
• The Rule 3 online transfer portal is now available for GDS, and any GDS seeking a transfer should apply only online hereafter. They must update their mobile number in the portal.
• A GDS who has completed one year of service may apply for transfer.
• Applicants may fill up to ten posts in order of preference within one division.
• An applicant may withdraw, change options, modify, or withdraw their application until the last date specified.
• Refusal to accept a transfer order shall be construed as one chance availed.
• A time limit has been prescribed for processing online GDS transfer applications.
