16. According to the letter File No.W-17/1/2020-SPN-I dated 28.04.2020, what action are the Circles requested to take regarding gender classification in application forms?
The letter instructs all Circles to take the necessary action for the inclusion of "Transgender" as a separate category of gender in the application forms for recruitment to various posts under the Central Government. This action is to be taken in accordance with instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T). This has given effect from 5.12.2019 and DOPT OM No. 39028/02/2016-Estt(B) dted 20.4.2020
