315. Resignation during suspension - To be accepted only if it is in public interest.
Rule 38 and 58 of P&T Manual Vol. III.
316. Departmental examination - A government servant under suspension can appear in the departmental examination, but, if he passes, promotion will not be given effect to until the completion of disciplinary proceedings.

317 Promotion during suspension - The case of promotion should be considered but, if found fit, promotion will not be implemented until finalisation of disciplinary proceedings. If disciplinary proceedings culminate in any punishment other than censure the earlier finding will be null and void. If the punishment is "censure", promotion will be given effect to with immediate effect. If the government servant is exonerated, his seniority and notional benefits in the higher cadre will be given.

318. Headquarters during suspension may be changed
Head quarters of the suspended government servant will be normally the last place of duty but the competent authority may fix some other station as Head quarter in public interest. it may also be changed at the request of the government servant.

319. Time-limit for preferring an appeal against suspension
The time-limit of forty-five days prescribed for submission of an appeal against suspension will count from the date on which the reasons for suspension are communicated.
