Grace mark to non qualified candidates of AAO Exam 2022
The Department of Posts has addressed numerous representations concerning the AAO Exam 2022, which highlighted issues such as last-minute changes in the exam mode without adequate resources, and questions that were reportedly out of syllabus.
Service unions had specifically requested the awarding of grace marks to non-qualified candidates, along with the filling of all vacant posts advertised for the exam. However, the Department of Posts, vide its letter dated 28.3.2023, has rejected this demand.
It was clarified that there is no provision for awarding grace marks as per the established instructions for the AAO exam. Consequently, the department has deemed it unfeasible to accept the claim for grace marks, and all related representations have been disposed of accordingly.

2022 ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற AAO தேர்வில், போதுமான ஆதாரங்கள் இல்லாமல் கடைசி நிமிடத்தில் தேர்வு முறையில் ஏற்பட்ட மாற்றங்கள் மற்றும் பாடத்திட்டத்திற்கு வெளியே கேள்விகள் இருந்ததாகக் கூறப்படும் சிக்கல்களை எடுத்துக்காட்டி, தபால் துறை பல பிரதிநிதித்துவங்களை கையாண்டுள்ளது.
சேவை சங்கங்கள் குறிப்பாக தகுதி பெறாத தேர்வர்களுக்கு கருணை மதிப்பெண்கள் வழங்குவதோடு, தேர்வுக்கு விளம்பரம் செய்யப்பட்ட அனைத்து காலி பணியிடங்களையும் நிரப்பக் கோரியிருந்தன. இருப்பினும், தபால் துறை, அதன் 28.3.2023 தேதியிட்ட கடிதம் மூலம், இந்த கோரிக்கையை நிராகரித்துள்ளது.
AAO தேர்வுக்கான நிறுவப்பட்ட அறிவுறுத்தல்களின்படி கருணை மதிப்பெண்கள் வழங்குவதற்கான எந்த விதியும் இல்லை என்று தெளிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டது. இதன் விளைவாக, கருணை மதிப்பெண்கள் கோரிக்கையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வது சாத்தியமற்றது என்று துறை கருதியுள்ளது, மேலும் தொடர்புடைய அனைத்து பிரதிநிதித்துவங்களும் அதன்படி நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
இந்த முடிவு DG (P) No. 301(60)/2023/LDCE 2022/D5/90 முதல் 5294 வரை தேதி 28.3.2023 இல் ஆவணப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
