101. Whether SAS/MPKBY Agents can nominate messenger to transact with post office on behalf?
(Rule 166(7) of POSB CBS manual 31.12.2021)
• Yes, Agent can nominate messenger to transact with post office on behalf
• In case an agent is permitted by the Appointing Authority, to nominate a messenger, to transact business with the post office on its behalf, the Appointing Authority will send to the Head Post Office concerned a copy of the authorization letter containing the specimen signature of the messenger and his/her photograph affixed to it.
• As and when an authorized messenger is required to sign any document of the post office in place of the authorized agent, he should note below his/her signature "authorized messenger of authorized agent No.................." and his/her signature will be verified with reference to one on record or available with the messenger.
