Special Allowance to women employees.
53. What is
child care allowance?
Women employees with disabilities to the extent of 40% and
above are paid Rs. 3,000 p.m. as Special Allowance for child care. (It is now
3750 Pm due to increase in DA by 50%). The allowance is payable from the time
of the child birth till the child is two years old for a maximum of two
children.

54. Whether the women
employee with disabilities shall be entitled to Special Allowance at double the
rates of multiple births at the time of first childbirth?
No. In case of multiple births at the time of first childbirth, the women employee shall not be entitled to this allowance at double the rates of multiple births.
55. Whether the
Special Allowance for child care for women with disability is admissible for
the third child in case first two children i.e. if the first child (or for that
matter the 2nd child) expires before attaining the age of two years.
It is admissible for two years from the
birth of the child so long as the women employee does not have more than two
surviving children.
