I usually post all
important items related to official rulings, union news, and other general
matters on my YouTube channels: Yourskayveeyes (English) and Anbudan Kayveeyes

However, due to the
recent spate of orders and the high volume of information being received, I
have not been able to convert every item into a video. Therefore, I am

Significant revisions to the Post
Office Regulations, 2024, regarding the classification of mail and the
rationalization of postal products.
- The
definition of a "Newspaper" is now aligned with the Press and
Registration of Periodicals Act, 2023.
- Only
weekly publications dispatched in loosely folded bundles qualify as
"Newspapers" and are eligible for concessional tariffs.
- A
"Newspaper" must be published daily or at intervals of up to 7
days.
- Any
publication with a publishing gap of more than 7 days is treated as a
"Periodical" and charged at periodical rates.
- Both
Registered Newspapers and Periodicals are strictly prohibited from being
posted in letter boxes.
- Staff
must strictly verify registration validity and periodicity at every stage,
including licensing, acceptance, and transit.
