1. What happens if a candidate is found to have suppressed facts or provided wrong information after being recommended?
As Per Order No. 17-1/2022-SPG-II dated 27.09.2022, if irregularities or suppressed facts are discovered during document verification, it is treated as a breach of confidence. In such cases, the family is not entitled to have another dependent considered for the appointment.
2. Is there an upper age limit for receiving a compassionate appointment?
According to Order No. 17-1/2022-SPG-II dated 27.09.2022, there is no fixed upper age limit. The Head of Circle (HoC) has the authority to relax age requirements as needed to facilitate the appointment, in accordance with DOP&T instructions.
3. Can an uneducated dependent (other than a widow) be appointed if they can only sign their name?
Yes. Following Order No. 17-1/2022-SPG-II dated 24.03.2022, if an uneducated candidate (other than a spouse) falls within the selection zone based on their RMP, they can be recommended as an "MTS Trainee." This is subject to the condition that they must acquire the minimum required educational qualifications within five years.
