51. Does the MACP Scheme automatically extend to employees of Central Autonomous or Statutory Bodies?
No, it does not automatically extend to them. A conscious decision must be taken by their respective Governing Body/Board of Directors and the administrative Ministry concerned.

Prior concurrence of the Ministry of Finance must be obtained before adopting the scheme.

The deferment has a consequential effect on subsequent financial upgradations, which will also get deferred to the extent of the delay in granting the earlier upgrade.

No, on grant of financial upgradation under the Scheme, there shall be absolutely no change in the designation, classification, or higher status of the employee.
