Regulation of HRA in Different Circumstances (Leave and Transfer)
How is HRA regulated during leave and transfer as per Order No. 2/4/2022-E.IIB dated 30.12.2022?
As per Order No. 2/4/2022-E.IIB dated 30.12.2022, HRA is admissible for the first 180 days of any leave at the rates drawn prior to the leave, with this limit extending to 8 months for medical leave due to TB, Cancer, or other specified ailments. During a transfer not exceeding 90 days, HRA is drawn at the old station's rates; if it exceeds 90 days, the new station's rates apply. If an employee is permitted to retain accommodation at the old station, they can draw HRA at the new station for up to 8 months; if they leave their family behind at the old station, they remain eligible for HRA for up to 6 months at the new station's rates.
