According to Order No. 2/5/Online System/FCRH - 2013 dated 18.04.2013, the Ministry of Urban Development introduced an automated online reservation and allotment system to enhance convenience for applicants. This system became the exclusive method for booking casual hostel accommodation, holiday homes, and guest houses in Delhi starting from 01/05/2013. The Directorate stipulated that no manual applications would be accepted from 16/04/2013 onwards for any reservation periods beginning on or after the May 1st launch date.
The finalized procedure requires applicants to complete an application form online and then print the document for physical verification. This printed application must be verified and forwarded by the applicant's office—or accompanied by an attested copy of the Pension Payment Order (PPO) in the case of retired officers—and sent along with a Demand Draft for room rent to the "Online Reservation Cell, F-Block, C.R. Hostel, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi 110001". Confirmation of the booking is processed only after the receipt of these physical documents and payment, though applicants may monitor their request status online
