249. Daily Rules Recap - Redeployment of Group B posts
• Redeployment of Group C & D posts was delegated to the Chief Postmaster General (CPMG) vide orders dated September 7, 2003.
• Redeployment of Group A & B posts was vested with the Postal Service Board as per Ministry of Finance (MOF), Department of Expenditure (DOE) Office Memorandum (OM) dated August 5, 1993.
• A specific exemption was granted to the Department of Posts (DOP) by MOF OM dated January 16, 2019, for the redeployment of all posts.
• Therefore, hereafter, the redeployment of Group B posts will be handled by Heads of Circles.
• Circles should submit such redeployments before the 10th of every quarter, commencing from January.
• Redeployment of Group A posts will continue to be referred to the Directorate with the approval of the CPMG.
