Are officials working in the Lower Selection Grade (Accounts line) [LSG (A/cs)] eligible to be considered for promotion to Higher Selection Grade-II (HSG-II) in the General line within Post Offices?
No. According to the Recruitment Rules, LSG (A/cs) and LSG/HSG-II (General line) are two distinct cadres, and LSG (A/cs) officials are not eligible for promotion to HSG-II in the General line. They are instead eligible for promotion to HSG-II (A/cs) under the relevant Recruitment Rules specifically meant for the Accounts line.
