106. Under what condition can service rendered in a government dental or medical college prior to taking up a regular Central Government post be counted?
It can only be counted if the previous institution was a fully fledged, direct Government Department and the appointment was regular, continuous, and without any break in service.

107. How is the financial upgradation patterned if an entry grade post is subsequently restructured into two separate grades?
If an entry grade post is split into two distinct grades, placement from the lower split grade to the higher split grade will be counted as a promotion/upgradation, offsetting one MACP chance.

108. What is the status of an apprentice period if it is followed by regular absorption in the same department?
An apprentice period is treated as a training or pre-appointment phase and cannot be calculated as part of the qualifying regular service for the MACP Scheme.

109. Does a period of suspension that is subsequently regularized as "period spent on duty" count toward the 10-year residency for MACPS?
Yes, if a suspension period is regularized as a period spent on duty for all purposes by a competent authority, it fully counts toward the 10-year residency requirement for MACPS.

110. What is the effect of an "Extraordinary Leave (EOL) without medical certificate" that has not been regularized on the MACPS eligibility date?
EOL without a medical certificate that has not been regularized by the competent authority is treated as a break/non-qualifying service and shifts the MACPS eligibility date forward by the exact number of days of such leave.
