23. Whether hotel/ guest house should be registered/ recognized for availing TA claims?
The Government servant may stay in any hotel or lodge but the same must be registered/ licensed as a hotel/ lodge by the proper authority.

24. Whether cash receipt/ cash memo will be mandatory in support of the claims?
Yes. The actual expenditure incurred for boarding and lodging will be reimbursed subject to the ceiling prescribed and also as per normal procedure.
25. Whether reimbursement of conveyance charges will be allowed for the work entrusted on Sundays & holidays?
Yes. The MOF OM No. 1/7/EII (A) /98 dt. 31.07.1998 stipulates that reimbursement of conveyance charges is allowed in case of a non Gazetted employee who is deputed on duty to a place away from his headquarters but within the municipal limits of the same city, attending office on Sundays and closed holidays.
If he is deputed beyond 8 kms for such duty, he is covered by T.A rules and entitled for DA. etc.
26. What is joining time and what are all the conditions to credit the unavailed joining time in to EL Account.
If an official is ordered to join the new post without availing full joining time or he proceeds alone to the new place of posting and taken his family later, the unavailed joining time will be added to the leave account which should not exceed 300 days.
27. Whether joining time is admissible in respect of request transfers?
No joining time is admissible for the transfers at own request. However, officials posted to their station of choice after completion of full tenure will be entitled for joining time.
