 68 Rules Digest  -  Posting of Office Assistants (OAs) in Divisional Offices

Only clerks who meet the following criteria should be selected for working in the Offices of the Superintendent of Post Offices and Railway Mail Service (RMS):
They must have completed at least five years of service as a clerk.
They must be deemed suitable for the role.
The five-year service limit can be relaxed only in specific circumstances: When a time-scale clerk is to be employed specifically as a typist in the Divisional Office.

Posting of OA in Divisional Office
The Director General has decided that only those clerks who have put in at least five years’ service as such and are suitable should be selected for working in Offices of Suptd of Post Offices and RMS. This condition of five years’ service limit may be relaxed only in the case of a time scale clerk who is to be employed as a typist in the Divisional Office.
