 187. Daily Rules Recap - JCM Staff Side reminds DOPT to issue orders on the agreed items.

Following the 62nd Standing Committee meeting of the Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), held on September 20, 2023, and December 5, 2023, the five concerned departments have been directed to take follow-up action.

There are nine issues that require immediate settlement, as they are significantly concerning employees and pensioners. The following are among the most important:

Issuance of instructions to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to hold regular meetings with the staff side to resolve issues that have arisen after the corporatization of Ordnance Factories.

Issuance of orders to extend the option date for switching over to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) for a period of one year, specifically up to July 25, 2017.

Exemption of service associations and cooperative societies/banks under Rule 15(1) of the CCS (Conduct) Rules.

Revision of the Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme under the General Provident Fund (GPF).

Restoration of Festival Advance for Central Government (CG) employees.

Extension of the revised option to switch over to the 6th CPC.

Extension of a one-time relaxation in Leave Travel Concession (LTC) visits to Andaman by permitting the purchase of air tickets from sources other than authorized agents.

o Two other items are related to the sectional demands of defence employees.
