Festival of the Sun: A Pan-Indian Celebration - Our Greetings to all the viewers

Festival of the Sun: A Pan-Indian Celebration

As the sun turns northward in its celestial dance,
India awakens to festivity's vibrant trance.
From mountains to seas, from west to east,
Each state welcomes this harvest feast.

To Maharashtra's hearts so bright and bold,
Where kites paint skies in yellow and gold,
"Til-gul ghya, god god bola!" they say,
As sweetness marks this special day.

To Tamil brothers and sisters dear,
As Pongal pots bubble with cheer,
"Pongal-o-Pongal!" rings through the air,
As kolams tell stories of tradition rare.

To Punjab's spirit, fierce and strong,
Where Lohri fires burn all night long,
"Lohri di lakh lakh vadhaiyan!"
As revelers dance till morning light stays on.

To Bengal's poets and artists true,
Where pithe-puli brings moments new,
"Poush parbon er shubhechha roi!"
As winter sweetness brings endless joy.

To Assam's valleys, green and bright,
Where Magh Bihu makes hearts light,
"Bhogi dinar xubhechha!" they sing,
As community feasts make spirits wing.

To Karnataka's fertile lands so dear,
Where Suggi brings harvest's good cheer,
"Sankranti habbada shubhashayagalu!"
As decorated cattle parade anew.

To Andhra's and Telangana's grace,
Where Bhogi fires light up each place,
"Sankranti Subhakankshalu!" they share,
As homes with muggulu* decorate with care.

From Gujarat's shores to Kerala's streams,
This festival of sun fulfills all dreams.
Different names but one celebration,
Binding India in joyous elation.

May the sun's new path bring light divine,
May harvest's bounty make your lives shine,
May community bonds grow ever strong,
As we celebrate this festival with prayer and song.
