What are the proposed methods of recruitment and the percentage of vacancies allocated to each method for filling the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Postal Accounts Offices (PAOs)?
According to the draft Recruitment Rules for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Postal Accounts Offices, the vacancies are allocated equally between two primary modes of intake:
1. Direct Recruitment through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC): 50% of the vacancies are filled through open competitive examinations managed by the SSC.
2. Direct Recruitment via Competitive Examination restricted to Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS): The remaining 50% of the vacancies are filled on the basis of a Competitive Examination conducted by the respective Postal Circles, restricted exclusively to Gramin Dak Sevaks of all Divisions within that Circle. To be eligible, the GDS must have worked regularly for a minimum period of three years in that capacity as on the 1st day of January of the year to which the vacancies belong.
