GDS RULES

126. Whether a GDS official is entitled to OTA for work done beyond the prescribed working hours? 

No. GDS staff are not entitled to the drawal of Over Time Allowance (OTA). However, the competent authority may allow an honorarium to the GDS for the work done beyond the scheduled working hours. (GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules)

127. Whether the GDS staff are entitled to draw Conveyance Allowance for the conveyance of cash? 

The GDS staff are not entitled to Conveyance Allowance for the conveyance of cash. The GDS should be paid an Honorarium for the cash conveyance. (GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules)

128. Whether the GDS staff are eligible to draw TA/DA for attending a Departmental Inquiry? 
Yes. The GDS staff are entitled to draw TA/DA for appearing before the Departmental Inquiry. (GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules)

129. Is there any maximum period prescribed for sanction of leave to the GDS staff? 
Yes. The maximum leave permissible at a time is 180 days. (GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules)

130. Whether the GDS staff are eligible for the drawal of wages for the period of their absence due to attending court as an accused? 
No. The GDS staff are not entitled to draw wages for the period of absence on attending court as an accused. (GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules)
