86. What is the maximum period for which Extraordinary Leave (EOL) can be sanctioned at a time?
EOL can be sanctioned for a maximum period of 5 years at a time, under special circumstances. (Rule 32 of CCS (Leave) Rules)
87. Whether EOL granted on medical certificate will count for increment?
Yes. EOL granted on a medical certificate will count for increment (up to a maximum of six months in a calendar year). (FR 26)
88. What is the maximum period for which Hospital Leave is admissible?
Hospital Leave is admissible for a maximum period of 365 days during the entire service. (Rule 58 of CCS (Leave) Rules)
89. Whether a Government servant is entitled to draw Quarantine Leave?
No. Quarantine Leave has been abolished. (Rule 54 of CCS (Leave) Rules)
90. Whether a Government servant is entitled to draw Study Leave?
Yes. Study Leave may be granted to a Government servant, but only after completion of five years of service and for a maximum period of 24 months during his entire service. (Rule 50 of CCS (Leave) Rules)
