IMPORTANT POINTS on exam point of View
1101. The Postmaster is responsible for the correctness of the accounts of subordinate offices.
1102. The Postmaster is expected to bring to the notice of the Superintendent or Sub divisional inspector any laxity or continued or repeated irregularity noticed by him.
1103. The duties prescribed in this volume to Postmaster shall be performed by DyPM/APM in charge of Sub account section in larger offices like GPO & Gazetted HPOs.
1104. SPM to check system generated Daily report of BOs invoking ZF_DAY_NEW.
1105. After implementation of CSI every office has become independent unit.
1106. BO daily account exchanged between either BO and HO or BO and SO.
1107. A voucher that is required in Support of an entry in the daily account, is not received in the account office, a note of the irregularity should be made in the error book by the sub-account assistant.
1108. BO sent to its account office is BO daily account.
1109. Sub office sent to branch office BO is BO Slip.
1110. Head office sent to SO is SO Slip.
1111. SO Slip prepated in HO by Sub account assistant.
1112. SO Slip prepared in Duplicate.
1113. If the voucher is not submitted by the sub office or Branch offices , the case should be reported to Divisional superintendent.
1114. In case of exigencies, superintendent will assign above and below roles to SPM of these SOs through IM Portal and to change it in the system/CSI by invoking ZFWF.
1115. To view Treasurer cash book (TCB) the transaction code is ZFBL3N.
1116. Treasurer shall check cash in transit.
1117. Cash in transit General ledger code (GL) is 4867100000.
1118. Loose cash through departmental employee is 5 lakhs.
1119. Departmental MMS with Multi tasking staff is 20 lakhs.
1120. Hired MMS with Multi tasking staff with in city limits is 5 lakhs.
1121. Hired MMS with Multi tasking staff outside the city limits is 2 lakhs.
1122. RMS section/Railways by TVP through cash bag enclosed account bag is 2 lakhs.
1123. Account bag handed over to carrier / Road transport is 40,000.
1124. Under armed escort cash conveyance is no limit.
1125. Cash through Departmental employee accompanied by another departmental employee is 10 lakhs.
1126. Cash conveyance through BPM/ABPM is 1 lakhs.
1127. Cash conveyance through BPM/ABPM accompanied by another BPM/ABPM or Dak sevak is 2 lakhs.
1128. As per revised Govt policy the insurant will get approximately less than 40% of total premia paid by him, if surrendered before completion of 5 years. 75% after completion of 5 years but before 10 years. Full recovered amount after 10 years.
1129. Rural postal life insurance started on 24 Mar 1995.
1130. The max limit of RPLI is Rs. 300000/-

1133. The maximum age limit for a 15-year policy is 45 years and 40 years for 20-years policy.

1135. In RPLI policies with non standard proof or age is Rs 1 lac. The 5% extra premium on non standard proof of age policies. In non standard proof or age policies the age of the insurant should not be exceed 45 years.
1136. The mail overseer will first complete their assigned work correctly before attending to the RPLI business. No TA/DA will be admissible or canvassing RPLI business except on RPLI mela organized by the circles. They should have min 10th standard qualification for doing this job.
1137. The in RPLI policy limit is Rs. 10000/-.
1138. The age of the child not more than 18 year at the time of issue of children policy.
1139. Children Policy: The minimum limit for insurance under this scheme shall be Rs. 2000/-. Agency commission not available in this scheme. The outstanding term of main policy shall not be less than the premium paying period of children policy. In the event of the death of the insured before the expiry of the children policy no further premium shall be payable for the balance period of the policy.
