Revised guidelines for the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) scheme from the Department of Posts:

I usually post all important items related to official rulings, union news, and other general matters on my YouTube channels: Yourskayveeyes (English) and Anbudan Kayveeyes (Tamil).
However, due to the recent spate of orders and the high volume of information being received, I have not been able to convert every item into a video. Therefore, I am introducing these new slots to post current matters and updates that have not yet been published on YouTube. This ensures you stay informed on every detail, even if a video hasn't been made yet …………….Kayveeyes

Revised guidelines for the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) scheme from the Department of Posts:
The Department of Posts has revised its Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) scheme to align with the new Integrated Mobile App (IMA) 2.0 and its enhanced specifications.
These updated guidelines replace all previous instructions from September 7, 2022, and December 4, 2023.
The scheme is only for Postmen, GDS, and outsourced staff who handle delivery work and have not already been provided a smartphone by the Directorate or IPPB.
Only Android smartphones are permitted, as the departmental mobile app works exclusively on this operating system.
The device must be in good working order, no more than  three years old, and not "rooted" when enrolled in the scheme.
Outsourced staff can be reimbursed if their mobile phone is used for delivery via the app in the absence of departmental staff.
The monthly reimbursement has been increased to a total of Rs. 500. This includes Rs. 300 for smartphone usage (up from Rs. 200) and Rs. 200 for Data/Voice/SMS charges (up from Rs. 150).
To receive the full Rs. 500 reimbursement, delivery staff must process at least  90% of all articles received through the mobile app.
The number of articles actually delivered should not be considered for reimbursement, as this has caused confusion in the past.
By the 3rd working day of each month, supervisors verify that the 90% article handling target has been met.
By the 5th working day, the claim is forwarded to the sanctioning authority.
By the 15th working day, the sanctioning authority inspects the records and ensures timely reimbursement, subject to fund availability
