One Day, One Minute, One Rule – 231
What are the pay and allowances entitled to a servant while on joining time?
A Government servant is considered "on duty" during joining time and is entitled to joining time pay equal to the pay drawn at the old post, along with dearness allowance (DA). They may also draw compensatory allowances like HRA and City Compensatory Allowance applicable to the old station, though they cannot draw Conveyance or permanent travelling allowances. The pay is disbursed by the new administrative authority.
