Key maintenance responsibilities for allottees of General Pool Residential Accommodations
What are the key maintenance responsibilities for allottees of General Pool Residential Accommodations (GPRAs) regarding water supply and cleanliness, and what are they prohibited from doing with the infrastructure?
According to the Ministry of Urban Development, Directorate of Estates Office Memorandum No. 13/531/2012-TS dated 01.10.2012, allottees must maintain a good standard of cleanliness, keep wash basin outlets and floor traps free from clogs, and immediately inform service centers of any leaks or blockages. Conversely, the advisory prohibits allottees from undertaking unauthorized construction, tampering with water supply or sanitary fittings, and dumping materials or furniture on roofs, balconies, or common areas. Furthermore, allottees must not prevent designated staff from carrying out repairs or cleaning overhead tanks, ensuring cooperation for the proper maintenance of the premises
