The Government of India, Ministry of Finance (M.F.), issued O.M. No. 19023/1/2006-E.IV on 25-10-2006, addressing representations to extend the facility of booking railway tickets through 'Internet' to Government employees for official journeys or Leave Travel Concession (LTC).
As per Order, it was decided that reimbursement of charges for booking of rail tickets through Internet/e-ticketing, provided they are booked through the website of Indian Railways, may be allowed. This reimbursement is strictly for Railway journeys undertaken for official tours and LTC.
