109. According to Office Memorandum No. 19030/1/2017-E.IV dated 30.08.2023, what are the revised entitlements for Central Government employees regarding travel by Vande Bharat and Humsafar Express trains?
As per the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure O.M. No. 19030/1/2017-E.IV dated 30.08.2023, the Government has decided to allow Central Government employees to travel by Vande Bharat Express and Humsafar Express trains for journeys related to official tour, training, transfer, and retirement. These travel options are provided in addition to the trains previously prescribed in the Department's basic orders dated 13.07.2017 and 12.09.2022.
The entitlement for these specific trains is aligned with existing premium train categories. Specifically, the travel entitlement for the Vande Bharat Express is the same as that of Shatabdi Trains, while the entitlement for the Humsafar Express is the same as that of Rajdhani Trains, as detailed in the Department's original 2017 memorandum
