53. What is the content of the letter regarding the implementation of the CAT judgment with regard to pay fixation of PO & RMS Accountants?
The Directorate vide its letter F. No. 02-04/2023-PAP, conveys the approval to implement a judgment from the Honourable Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Principal Bench, New Delhi. The judgment, dated March 3, 2023, was issued in Original Application (OA) No. 4474/2018, filed by Shri Sanjeev Kumar and 12 other officials. The letter specifically states that this implementation is for these officials "in personam," meaning it applies only to them and will not be treated as a precedent for any other case. The letter, addressed to The Chief Post Master General, Delhi Circle, Delhi-110001, also requests that compliance be sent to the office in due course.
It is unfortunate still there is no extension of benefits to the similarly situated employees.
