18. Whether the provisions of reimbursement of Taxi/Auto charges from residence to Railway station etc as per GOI orders 7 below SR 46 is still in vogue?
Yes. The provisions will continue to be applicable in case of reimbursement of taxi/travel charges within the city.

19. If husband and wife are Govt servants and transferred to same station, whether both can claim the TA bills claiming composite transfer grant separately?
As per GIO (8) below Para VIII under SR 116 of FR & SR – Part –II – Travelling Allowances Rules”, if both husband and wife are Govt. Servants and transferred to the same place, either of them may claim TA, treating the spouse as a member of their family. Moreover, Composite Transfer Grant is a part of TA which cannot be split among more than one person.
20. Whether the cancellation charges of journey tickets are reimbursable in case of LTC & TA? Cancellation charges levied by the State Transport Corporation on cancellation of tickets due to exigencies of public service may be reimbursed.

21. Is the service taxes and other levies reimbursable for the claims of LTC & TA?
Reservation for sleeper/berth/seat are reimbursable. Similarly Service Taxes, Education Cess and other similar levies are also reimbursable.

22. How the proportionate mileage allowance will be calculated when journey on tour is performed by a longer route by rail partly by lower class and partly by the entitled class?
The claim of the officer shall be regulated on a proportionate basis, by calculating mileage allowance for different modes/classes by the shortest route in the ratio of distance covered by the such modes/classes by the longer (actually used) route.
