• If the Delivery PA found an article the insurance of which is compulsory in the office of posting uninsured in the course of transmission, the article should be endorsed 'contains coin, etc.,' and sent in a protecting cover or bag to the (1) RLO for return to the sender in the case of a post office, (Rule 115 (1) and (3))
• An article the insurance of which is compulsory is found in the course of transmission- in an intermediate office or section - The article should be forwarded to the postmaster of the office of destination in a protective bag. (115- (3))
• The Mail assistant marked an article contains circular relating to a lottery not authorized by Government, and it should be sent to RLO (R-122)
• The due mail and sorting list consists of the three parts, viz., (i) the due mail list of receipts and despatches, (ii) the letter mail sorting list, and (iii) the registered and parcel mail sorting list in the separate parts each of which can ordinarily be printed. (R-136)
• When a labelled bundle is found to contain any mis-sent article, particulars of such articles should be clearly entered on the reverse of the check-slip which should also be impressed with the date stamp. (R-141)
• Entries in these books should be initialled by the officials by whom they are made and also by the Postmaster or Head Sorting Assistant as the case may be. (R-145)
• If the officer receiving the application for recall of posted articles for redelivery to sender is a first class postmaster, he should dispose of the application himself. (Rule 148)
• A Half-yearly Enumeration Returns.” is made by each Head Sortie Assistant, RMS., of the number of articles delivered without the intervention of a post office. From 8th to the 21 st of February and August of each year. (R-155)
