239. Daily Rules Recap - Direct recruitment of Postal assistant – ambiguity in the calculation of vacancies
• The DOP issued the details of direct recruitment vacancies for the ensuing recruitment of Postal assistant in direct recruitment.
• The entire previous year vacancies in the direct recruitment quotas were shown as vacancies brought forward as it is.
• Accordingly the unfilled DR vacancy of 2018-2021 to the extent of 19676 plus 2785 vacancies have been shown.
• As per our knowledge there is no carry forward or backlog vacancies for the direct recruitment. Unfilled vacancies were added with the current year vacancies and accordingly the proportionate quotas were decided.
• Due to tuff examination earlier for the LGOs, many promote vacancies were added for the next year vacancies and filled up with the direct recruitment earlier.
• Instead of adding the vacancies of 2018 to 2021 with the current year vacancies and assess the ratio for DR and Promotee, they were shown separately for DR.
• This is disadvantage to the promotes expecting promotion.
