 Whether Referral to empanelled hospitals of the CGHS beneficiaries – Physical presence is compulsory?

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare OM No. 01/023/DIR/CGHS dated 31.3.2023, physical presence of a CGHS beneficiary is not compulsory for referral to empanelled hospitals. 

If a beneficiary is unable to visit the CGHS Wellness Centre physically, they can send a representative with the necessary documents.

 The Medical Officer at the Wellness Centre can issue a referral if they find the provided documents sufficient. If the Medical Officer requires further clarification, they can contact the beneficiary via video call or conduct a domiciliary visit. 

Insisting on physical presence for issuing a referral is discouraged.

சுகாதார மற்றும் குடும்ப நல அமைச்சகத்தின் OM எண். 01/023/DIR/CGHS தேதி 31.3.2023 இன் படி, CGHS பயனாளியின் உடல் இருப்பு, அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட மருத்துவமனைகளுக்கு பரிந்துரைப்பதற்கு கட்டாயமில்லை. 

ஒரு பயனாளி CGHS நல மையத்திற்கு நேரில் வர முடியாத நிலையில், தேவையான ஆவணங்களுடன் ஒரு பிரதிநிதியை அனுப்பலாம். நல மையத்தில் உள்ள மருத்துவ அதிகாரி, வழங்கப்பட்ட ஆவணங்கள் போதுமானதாக இருந்தால், பரிந்துரை வழங்கலாம். 

மருத்துவ அதிகாரிக்கு மேலும் தெளிவு தேவைப்பட்டால், அவர்கள் வீடியோ அழைப்பு மூலம் பயனாளியை தொடர்பு கொள்ளலாம் அல்லது வீட்டுக்கு சென்று பார்க்கலாம். 

பரிந்துரை வழங்குவதற்கு உடல் இருப்பைக் கட்டாயப்படுத்துவது ஊக்கப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.
