Movement Types of Stamp
(Inventories) stocks in SAP.
Every movement of stamps from HO to SO and SO to BO and sales get reflected with unique movement type and colour of the movement type which can be found using the tcode MB51 in SAP.
Usually we use three tcodes for Stamp handling in SAP.
1. MIGO - to transfer out or transfer in the Stamps from one office to another office.
2. MB52 - To find the availabile stock of Stamps and Stationeries in SAP for any Storage Location (Office).
3. MB5B - to find the quantity of any Stamps that are Transferred in (Received) and Transferred out (Sales or Sent to other offices) in a storage location for a particular date or a period.
When any discrepancy or physical stock mismatching with SAP stock issue occurs, the tcode which will be useful to rule out that is MB51.
In MB51, enter the stamp (Exact Material Code name can be extracted from MB52.or from searcher icon) which doesn't match, enter the plant and storage location. Then execute. It wil list out the movement of that stamps in that storage location from the CSI roll out date to till date. Date can be shortened if wanted in MB51 tcode itself. The report shows various columns and rows with various colours.
The vital column is Mvt Type ( Movement Type) which is usually second column as per the default layout.
1. Mvt Type - 561 - Initial stock available in an office during CSI Roll Out.
2. Mvt Type - 601 with red colour - Stamp Sales at that particular storage location.
3. Mvt Type - 313 with green colour - Stamp Stocks transferred in to that office but not yet received. i.e., Stamp Stocks in transit with positive transit value. This entry is created in SO storage location when remove from storage is made at HO for stamps to be sent to SO.
4. Mvt Type - 315 with green colour - Stamp Stocks are received in SAP in that office. This entry is created when place in storage is made in MIGO at SO once the Stamps are received from HO.
5. Mvt Type - 313 with red colour - This entry is created when Stamp Stocks are transferred out to another office. i.e.., This entry is created when Remove from storage is made in MIGO at SO for stamp to be sent to BOs. So 313 with red means , the stock is reduced at that storage location.
In short ,
Mvt Type 313 Green should have a Mvt Type 315 green for any Storage Location at any instant of time. This means that stocks are properly received in SAP. Iff both entries are available, no postive transit exist for that storage location.
Similarly Green Colour means, either transit to that storage location or stock Transferred in and Red colour means either sales or transferred out to other offices.
This post give a boundary idea on stamp movement and handling the transit. The detailed draft of all related Mvt Types and Handling duplicate 313s and 315s and 601s will be explained on subsequent posts.
