What was the final decision made by the Chief Postmaster General, Tamil Nadu Circle, regarding the representations filed by the Bharatiya Postal, RMS, Administrative Supervisors Association and Ms. P.H. Sophia Rani in OA No. 1282/2025 for grant of notional promotion to the HSG-I cadre at par with Shri C. Alagarsamy?
The representations were considered in compliance with the orders of the Hon'ble CAT, Chennai Bench, but were found to be devoid of merit based on the applicable Recruitment Rules and Directorate instructions (specifically letter No. X-01/03/2019-SPB-II dated 30.03.2026). Consequently, the request for granting notional promotion to the 66 officials at par with Shri C. Alagarsamy was rejected.
