When recruiting meritorious sports persons under the sports quota, Postal Circles are strictly required to notify vacancies without restricting them to a specific sport, game, discipline, or gender. The official recruitment notification must openly invite applications from all meritorious sports persons belonging to the list of approved disciplines, and selections must be processed based entirely on the criteria stipulated in the foundational DoPT guidelines. Furthermore, the Department mandates that field trials shall not be conducted under any circumstances; the selection of candidates must be finalized solely through a paper audit of their sporting merit and credentials as outlined by the DoPT.
