What are the standard terms for allotment and daily rent charges for Inspection Quarters in X Class cities?
According to the terms and conditions established by the Directorate, the following rules apply to the use of Inspection Quarters:
• An IQ can be allotted for a maximum of 3 days and can accommodate a maximum of 3 people.
• Reservations are liable to be cancelled if higher authorities visit. Allottees must also provide a government-approved identity proof (such as an office ID, Aadhaar card, or PAN card) before occupying the suite.
• Daily Rent (for more than six hours):
o Officers of Deptt of Posts on official visit: ₹25.
o Officers and dependent family members of Deptt of Posts on Personal visit: ₹100.
o Retired Officers of Deptt of Posts: ₹100.
o Other Govt./PSU officers on official visit and others: ₹250.
• While electricity and refrigeration are included in the base rate, the use of Air Conditioning (AC) costs an additional ₹20 per day (or part thereof), and room heaters cost ₹10 per day (or part thereof).
