46. Whether the physically handicapped official are eligible for the grant of split duty Allowance?

If they have to necessarily attend split duty, there is no bar to the Split Duty Allowance being paid to them in addition to transport allowance at double the rates. (DG (P) No. 4-4/88-PCC dated 21.09.1990)

47. Whether the officials who are sanctioned OTA and OT hours fall within the break up spells needed for the grant of Split Duty Allowance (SDA) are eligible for payment of the allowance?

If Over Time Allowance (OTA) is arranged in split duty times continuously and for more than 15 days, the Split Duty Allowance (SDA) may not be available, as the official is continuously working and compensated for the extra work. (DG (P) No. 4-4/88-PCC dated 21.09.1990)

OVER TIME ALLOWANCE
48. Whether the officiating SPM working in leave vacancy is entitled for OTA? 

Yes. The officiating SPM may be granted 45 minutes OTA, provided that no charge allowance is given and the period of arrangement does not exceed 30 days. (DG (P) No. 3-4/77-PCC dated 01.07.1982)

49. Is there any time limit fixed for settlement of OT Claims? 
Yes. The OTA claims of the staff are to be settled within six weeks of their submission. (DG (P) No. 3-4/77-PCC dated 01.07.1982)

50. What is the time limit to convert the compensatory off proposed for the duty performed on a particular day to OTA?
 If compensatory off for duty performed on a weekly off day cannot be granted within a week of performance of such duty, then OTA may be granted. (DG (P) No. 3-4/77-PCC dated 01.07.1982)
