What actions must be taken to ensure adequate toilet facilities in departmental, new, and rented Post Office buildings?

According to the Department of Posts, Heads of Circles must examine the adequacy of existing toilet facilities in departmental buildings based on the ratio of male and female employees, ensuring exclusive and suitably located toilets for women. For new constructions, the expected number of male and female employees per floor must be provided to the Architect during the planning stage to incorporate sufficient facilities in preliminary drawings. In the case of rented buildings, if facilities are inadequate, landlords should be requested to provide them; if a landlord agrees to do so in exchange for increased rent, the request may be considered provided the accommodation is otherwise suitable, no better alternative is available, and the landlord agrees to an assessment of the increased rent by the department's Civil Wing and IFA. Furthermore, any increase in rent for such improvements is only payable once the newly constructed or renovated toilets are completed and officially handed over to the Department.
