Revival of Meghdoot Awards for the year 2025:

I usually post all important items related to official rulings, union news, and other general matters on my YouTube channels: Yourskayveeyes (English) and Anbudan Kayveeyes (Tamil).
However, due to the recent spate of orders and the high volume of information being received, I have not been able to convert every item into a video. Therefore, I am introducing these new slots to post current matters and updates that have not yet been published on YouTube. Revival of Meghdoot Awards for the year 2025:
• The Meghdoot Award Scheme is revived and transformed, and nominations for the year 2025 are invited based on the performance in the financial year 2024-2025.
• The awards will be conferred based on the performance in FY 2024-2025. Due to IT system migration, the nomination process will be conducted offline as a one-time measure.
• Nominee eligibility criteria include: Minimum 10 years of service in the Department and at least 3 years in the current cadre. Unblemished record with unquestionable integrity. No pending or contemplated Disciplinary, Vigilance, or Criminal cases.
• Nominations can be either self-nominations or recommended by Head of Division/Head of Circle (HOC). A Circle-level Screening Committee chaired by CPMG will scrutinize and forward nominations to the Directorate for final review and selection.
• The number of award categories has been merged into one; any eligible category of officials can be given the award.
• Performance and productivity for the award year must be reflected objectively and factually in the citation, prepared in English and Hindi.
• The complete APAR dossier (or Service Book for MTS employees) along with a detailed bio-data in the prescribed format must be submitted with the nomination.
• The timeline for the process is:
• Last date for receipt of nominations at Circle level: 20.09.2025
• Circle-level screening and finalization: 25.09.2025
• Forwarding recommended nominations to Directorate: 30.09.2025
• All recommendations should reach the Directorate by 30th September 2025. Late submissions may not be accepted except at the competent authority's discretion.

• The Meghdoot Awards, 2025, are now likely to be given in December, 2025.
• Due to the new award schedule, the deadlines for processing nominations at the Circle level have been extended:
• Last date for receipt of nominations at Circle level: October 15, 2025.
• Circle-level screening and finalization by Circle Screening Committee: October 30, 2025.
• Forwarding of recommended nominations to Directorate: November 5, 2025.
• Circles are requested to forward all complete recommendations and required documents to the Directorate not later than November 5, 2025.
• Nominations received after November 5, 2025, may be considered only at the discretion of the competent authority.
