What is the specific allowance provided to women employees with disabilities for child care and how long is it payable?
Women employees with disabilities are paid a Special Allowance of Rs. 3000/- per month for child care. This allowance is payable from the time of the child’s birth until the child reaches two years of age. Similar to the CEA, this limit is raised by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance on the revised pay structure increases by 50%. This is mandated by OM No. A-27023/02/2017-Estt (AL) dated 24/10/2017.
