Revised flat rates of licence fee for different types of General Pool Residential Accommodation
What are the revised flat rates of licence fee for different types of General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) effective from July 1, 2023?
According to the Department of Posts (Estates Division) Order No. BDG-12/4/2023-Building-DOP dated 1st Sept, 2023, which forwards the Directorate of Estates Office Memorandum dated 10th July, 2023, the monthly flat rates of licence fee for residential accommodation throughout the country have been revised. The new rates, effective from 01.07.2023, are categorized by the type of accommodation and range of living area. For instance, the fee for Type I accommodation (up to 30 sq. mtr.) is fixed at Rs. 210, Type II (26.5 to 50 sq. mtr.) at Rs. 440, Type III (44 to 65 sq. mtr.) at Rs. 660, and Type IV (59 to 91.5 sq. mtr.) at Rs. 880. Higher types like Type VII and Type VIII attract fees of Rs. 3,040 and Rs. 5,430 respectively. These revised rates are applicable to both Postal Pool Quarters and General Pool Residential Accommodation.
