"Immediate relations" and "guests" for the purpose of government residence allotment
How do the 2015 amendment rules define "immediate relations" and "guests" for the purpose of government residence allotment, and what new requirement is mandated for applicants?
According to the Ministry of Urban Development (Directorate of Estates) Notification No. G.S.R. 510(E) dated 10th June, 2015, "immediate relations" are defined to include grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters, parents-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and other relations established by legal adoption, while a "guest" is defined as a casual visitor staying temporarily with the allottee. Furthermore, the amendment to Supplementary Rule 317-B-6 stipulates that every officer must now submit an undertaking and declaration along with their application for allotment.
