Employment After Retirement Under a Government Outside India
This OM covers the rules for accepting employment under a Government outside India after retirement.
• Group 'A' Officers Requirement: A pensioner who was a member of Central Service, Group 'A' immediately before retirement, and wishes to accept employment under any Government outside India, must obtain the previous permission of the Central Government.
• Penalty for Non-Permission: If a pensioner accepts such employment without proper permission, no pension shall be payable for the period of employment, or a longer period as directed by the Government.
• Exception: Permission is not required if the Government servant was already permitted by the Central Government to take up that specific employment during their leave preparatory to retirement and is continuing in it after retirement.
