Claims to Pension or Family Pension
This OM clarifies how claims to pension or family pension are regulated under the CCS (Pension) Rules 2021.
• Regulation of Claim: Any claim to pension or family pension shall be regulated by the provisions of the rules in force at the time when the Government servant retires, is retired, is discharged, is allowed to resign, or dies, as the case may be.
• Last Working Day: The day on which a Government servant retires, is retired, discharged, allowed to resign, or dies, shall be treated as their last completed working day..
• Absence/Suspension: If the Government servant was absent from duty on leave or otherwise, or was under suspension, immediately before retirement or death, the day of retirement or death shall be considered part of such leave, absence, or suspension.
