Uniform Regulations for Induction Trainees in Postal Training Institutes
154. What are the prescribed uniform and dress code requirements for trainees undergoing induction training at Postal Training Centres (PTCs) and the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy (RAKNPA), and who is responsible for the cost of these uniforms?
According to Memorandum No. 1-04/2015-Trg(Pt) dated 04.07.2017, the Department of Posts has introduced a specific uniform for trainees undergoing induction training at all Postal Training Centres and the RAKNPA in Ghaziabad. For the purpose of PT and Yoga sessions, a mandatory uniform has been prescribed consisting of black track pants and a white T-shirt. The cost of this specific PT/Yoga uniform must be borne by the trainees themselves.
In addition to the physical training attire, the memorandum establishes a formal dress code for all trainees, officials, and officers during office hours at these institutes. Male trainees are required to wear a formal shirt and formal trousers with a belt, paired with formal leather shoes. Female trainees are required to wear either Sarees or Salwar-Kameez. These regulations were approved following the recommendations of a committee constituted to examine the feasibility of standardized uniforms for induction and in-service training.
