6. What is the policy regarding waiting lists for staff seeking transfers to new units after bifurcation?
The policy states that no waiting lists will be maintained for accommodating employees against future vacancies following a bifurcation. The number of employees to be accommodated is restricted to the number of sanctioned posts actually available at the time of the bifurcation in the respective units. The seniormost employees up to the required number will be transferred, and others will be informed that their option cannot be accommodated. This decision was made because it was found that the previous practice of maintaining waiting lists resulted in serious administrative difficulties.
